Beau Rivage Players Card

January 20, 2008 by admin

For many of you that are planning to visit the Mississippi Gulf Coast, it is important to always sign up for a players club card at each casino that you visit and make sure to use it every time you play at a machine or table. Most casinos will even offer free promotions when you sign up.

Because the Beau Rivage is a MGM Mirage Resort, it is included in their Players Club program that can be utilized at any of their 12 MGM Casinos and Resorts. Another great benefit is that you can sign up online! Sign up at PlayersClub.com

MGM Resorts and Casino include:

Mississippi
Beau Rivage
Gold Strike Tunica

Las Vegas
Bellagio
MGM Grand
Mandalay Bay
Mirage
TI – Treasure Island
Monte Carlo
New York New York
Luxor
Excalibur

Detroit
MGM Grand

As of right now, I think the Beau Rivage is the only casino in Biloxi that you can sign up for their players club online. However, like I said above, it is VERY important to sign up at every casino that you visit. Keep checking back here at Biloxi Casinos for more updates!

Mississippi Casinos Set Records, Help State Recover

January 14, 2008 by admin

Even after the devastation caused by Hurricane Katrina less than three years ago, the Mississippi Gulf Coast finds its casino industry growing at a remarkable rate. Despite having properties utterly destroyed by the storm, casinos have rebuilt and reorganized to the point that 20007 is expected to have been a record year for revenue.

The executive director of the mississippi Gaming Commission, Larry Gregory, had set an ambitious goal of $3 billion in gross receipts at the beginning of the year, and he recently said, “It’s going to be very close. There’s no doubt it will be a record.”

Commission represenatives noted that, while in 2006 monthly casino revenues topped $100 million only one time, in 2007 every month topped the $100 million mark except one.

Even as Atlantic City and other areas try to devise strategies to cope with losses incurred by stiffer and more numerous competition, Mississippi surged forward, closing the gap between itself as the third-largest casino market in the U.S. and Atlantic City as the second. Las Vegas remains first.

Over 15,000 jobs exist in the Mississippi casino industry, and that number is expected to increase as new casinos in Biloxi and D’Iberville open soon.

Terence Robicheaux, employee of the Beau Rivage Casino, said, “Without the help and influx of cash from the casinos, the Gulf Coast would still be in tatters. We have a long way to go, but the gambling businesses have made repairing our lives easier.”

Biloxi Casino mailers are picking up

December 29, 2007 by admin

It seems that a lot of the Biloxi Casinos are pushing for increased visitors in 2008. I have recently received some great free room, free cash, and free food vouchers and coupons from The IP, Isle of Capri, The Palace, and The Treasure Bay.

I also think that due to the reopening of the bridge, the increased traffic will also increase marketing efforts from some of the casinos.

Here is your Biloxi Casinos tip:

Whenever you go into a casino that you will be playing in, take a few extra minutes and sign up for a players card. Make sure you provide a valid address that you check. I have heard reports that even for a little bit of play you will receive some type of promotional offer in the mail. It only takes a few minutes to get a players card and you want to put it into every machine or hand it to the dealer at the table games. Hey, you might be surprised what you receive in the mail, could even be a free room!

Beau Rivage Biloxi Special Rate

September 30, 2007 by admin

You need to hurry if you want to take advantage of this special room rate at the Beau Rivage Biloxi. It is only 3 days, the first three days of October. But you get a weekday room rate of $99 per night. This is a great a rate for the Beau Rivage, of course you can find lower rates on the coast, but the Beau doesn’t drop their rates too often. Sorry for delay in posting, and I hope someone can use it.

From their website: Guests will enjoy a $99 special deluxe room rate for selected dates in October 2007. Guests must mention CRUISE to receive this rate. Reservations may be made online or can call at 1-800-56-ROOMS. Rates are per night, per room, plus tax. This promotion is subject to availability and restrictions may apply. This offer is not valid with any other promotion, package or offer. Check rate query for dates and availability.

Biloxi Mayor A.J. Holloway talks Casinos

September 18, 2007 by admin

The Mayor Talks About Tragedy, Revival, and Gaming in his Gulf Coast Community

Hurricane Katrina decimated the town of Biloxi and caused billions of dollars in damage on Aug. 29, 2005. That left Mayor A.J. Holloway with a crisis on his hands and a chance to rebuild for future generations. He called the rebuilding process the “Revival of the Renaissance,” and started to put the pieces of the community back together. City Hall in downtown Biloxi is a modern-day fortress. Three stories of solid marble that would be able to stand up to much worse storms than Katrina, this is where the office of the mayor sits, on the second floor. This is where he orchestrated the communities’ recovery with his hard-working staff. This is also where Card Player caught up with Mayor Holloway to talk about the tragedy, the rebuilding, and the importance the casino industry played in the process.Mayor AJ Holloway

Read complete Interview at Card Player

My favorite part of the interview is when the Mayor is asked about the casino resort industry in the next 5 to 10 years, and he answers..

“I’m predicting that in 10 to 15 years you’ll see anywhere from 18 to 22 casinos in Biloxi. What I would like to see is for us to build up our critical mass … have these casinos around all the conventional industries … residential, retail.”

This is all great news for Biloxi!
